Registered Financial Consultants (RFC)
The RFC is the professional designation awarded by the US-based International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) to members who meet the Association’s high standards of education, experience and integrity.
In 2006, the IFS, Macau Inter-University Institute (IIUM) and IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Center joined hands in Macau to develop and implement the IARFC accredited courses, namely “Professional Diploma Program in Financial Consulting” and “Professional Certificate in Financial Consulting (Executive Program)”. The offering of these courses in Macao has provided a good opportunity for those intending to attain the professional qualification of financial consultants.
The inaugural class was started from January 2007 for the Diploma program, and received very good responses. As a result, a total of 3 Diploma classes were repeatedly offered in 2007. Furthermore, the Certificate program for the senior financial practitioners was also successfully offered in 2007.
This year, built on the success of previous year, we will continue offering these courses. The 1st Diploma program of this year was commenced on March 07 with 18 students. Moreover, the 4-day (30-hour) Certificate program is scheduled to be held on four consecutive Saturdays: July 12, 19, 26 & Aug. 02.
All successful graduates of the Program, subject to satisfaction of other Membership Requirements of the IARFC, shall be conferred the RFC designation.
